CRABS! is a card game, a party game, an easy-going game and a let's push the envelope over the edge game. All it takes is a couple of friends, a bit of wit and the willingness to show people how far you would go to have a good time. Because in the end, that's what it is all about - laughing, embellishing and gratifying.
Who's Itchin' To Win?
We're currently trying to get this game off the ground. And we need your support to do so. We're hoping some of you friendly folks out there will be willing to back us on Kickstarter. In a nutshell, the game is about creating a scenario on each turn: Who, Where & What. You are an "outlandish" person (WHO) in an "unusual" place (WHERE) looking for an "unconventional" good time (WHAT). And you get crabs along the way. Easy enough, right? Well here's a bit more of a detailed breakdown of how the game is played.
Once the game is set up, the player whose turn it is draws a "WHO" card from the pile in the center and places it down in front of them. This represents "who you are" in the scenario. In this case, you are "an extreme couponer."
Next up is "where you are" in the scenario. So the player draws a "WHERE" card and places it next to previously drawn "WHO" card. Now the first part of the scenario is read outloud to the rest of the players.
"I am an extreme couponer in a dumpster behind a taco a joint and I'm looking for a good time!"
What kind of good time? Well, that's up to the rest of the players. They choose a "WHAT" card from their hand, and using the provided pencils and pads, write down and define just what they want to do/for that extreme couponer. You can be tame or explicit.
"The Reverse Centaur: I'd wrap you up in half-price flour tortillas and ride on your shoulders facing backwards."
The player who's turn it is reads each "WHAT" definition outloud and simply chooses just what kind of good time they would like to have. If your "WHAT" card is chosen, congratulations! You've got crabs! That's it. At the end of the game, the player with the most crabs wins!
Mighty Thumbs was formed when long time friends decided to join forces and make their private good times available to everyone. In card form. Based out of Columbus, Ohio, we've spent the past 2 years grooming our facial hair and fiddling around with CRABS! More or less, we all spend our typical 9-5 creating or creatively thinking. It was our bond as friends, combined with our love of games and our insatiable itch to create things that drove us to form Mighty Thumbs. Are you itchin' to win with us? We hope so.
